Just looking at the ''Server Admin' screenshots posted, i noticed that in the list of Services, both AFP and NFS are missing. Is File Sharing managed somewhere else in Lion?

here are some good references to get a grasp of the differences. As others have stated, the lens is the same focal length, but on a smaller sensor body (APC), the image is essentially "cropped". Some websites..
Site #1 (http://www.extremeinstability.com/topic-full-frame.htm)
Site #2 (http://www.petapixel.com/2010/10/02/full-frame-vs-crop-sensor-comparison/)
Site #3 (http://www.the-digital-picture.com/canon-lenses/field-of-view-crop-factor.aspx)
The second site is a video that is nice. 3rd site has good info.

Digital distribution of movies isn't going to put any sizeable dent in dvd sales for a long time. If ever at the current prices, which I extremely doubt will be reduced.

how about an ad that just urges users to ask their friends
something like this:
Buying a computer is a big investment, so before you make your next big investment ask yourself "do you want to be happy?"
if the answer is yes, then we recommend you ask your friends:
"do you use a mac or pc?"
"are you happy or frustrated with computers?"
i can't think about anything better than letting customers interview their own friends... it gets some buzz going and gets people talking publicly more

That's so disgusting.
Why? Everyone needs to be taking cuts including PPH. I am a Democrat, however I know if it were not for the Republicans controlling the House right now the talk would be of increasing spending instead of cutting spending.
I think everyone can agree that we need to get spending under control and every department and entitlement program should be looked at and take cuts if necessary. What I would really like to see is an across the board 10% cut if I had it my way. That won't get rid of the deficit, but it would help.

$1.12CAD per litre, which, depending on your definition of a gallon, works out approximately to $4.64US per gallon.
That's pretty good. It keeps going up for us here in Vancouver...

There are also a couple of other Flash(?) skits they do (at least it sounds like them...it is just (minimal) animation) riffing on Tokyo train station names (called kyoubashi ??) and on prefecture names (ibaraki ??) that are amusing. Especially if you see yourself in that particular language class.
Ah, those were classic. I have the Shimbashi and Chiba skits with the 2ちゃねる flash animation here (http://www.nippon-media.net/db/mediaportal/browse.php?album=29).

I was excited for this app. when I heard about it. The evening it was released it kept crashing. I gave up on it then; and the intro is a little much too. I'm deleting it. Thanks for letting me down again TWC.

Understood, but there is no "Pro" version of this new one, so I'm not sure where you were going with that. The Slim design isn't going to trickle down to the other models?

I don't know what to tell you. Couple days after I installed 10.4.7 , major issues happened on my quad. I end up with my computer at Apple for repair and 3 weeks later they figure out a combination of 10.4.7 and my GT7800 card were the issue.
Now, I have a new GT card and I use 10.4.6. The kernel comes once a week. So the problem in some way still persist. I hope the new 10.4.8 will address this issue. If not I'll go back to Apple and request a new computer in exchange for the one I have.
I don't know, I love my quad but I have to say I was pretty upset with this whole fiasco. I wish Apple had a loaner program for professionals using powermac. That way we can still productive while the computer is being repaired. I would not mind to pay a little more on applecare to get such a service.Sorry I don't have that video card in mine so I can't report replication of the problem. Sorry to hear that. Bummer.

Its very subjective to the developer whether what SQL database sucks.
Zimbra integrates into itself (Its much more than just an exchange competitor now) and starts from free.
zimbra, pop/imap
what a joke. firewall guys, we want email on our phones. we need to open the firewall on a few more ports
exchange is database based which makes it easier and cheaper to manage it
the base product is free but once you start buying add ons like archiving it's a lot more expensive than exchange. and other features that require MS outlook, contacts sync and iphone/mobile are not free. major fail and will cost just as much if not more than MS exchange once you compare apple's to apples

Off-topic comment, but still related to external storage.
I received my Mac mini around noon, and I found something the previous (at least the GMA950 Core 2 Duo) model didn't support: USB flash storage works when connected to a side USB port of the aluminium Apple keyboard. My older Mac mini complains about lacking power via that USB port but the new one works just fine!
Oh wow, the corded ones have a usb jack? I only have the wireless one. Neat!

It's not the first time that the Vietnamese got their hands on an unreleased iPhone. The question is why? It's not like that Vietnam has anything to do with anything.
These guys, from what i've seen from them so far, are quite reliable.
IMO, maybe anonymity purposes?
If it's in the Chinese hand then it's probably the hardware mfgr's leak.
If the US then employee's leak.
I guess he's like the shop front, but with an unknown supplier.
EDIT: Oh oh, more visible example: He's like a proxy server. lol.

LOL nice one there :P however the army might be able to overlook water damage in dry areas like Afghanistan
Dust is an equally big problem. MBPs are just-about up to the task of day-to-day office use (we have 4-5 MBP at work) - logic board fail if they smell water near the keyboard. All HW ports are open. Al Cases prone to warpage...
But for all we know it's a tour to look at UI concepts for 'soldier of the future' type applications.

I allready posted that, but everyone seems to be overlooking this fact (including you :P)
So, this time in bold:
People, one of the airlines mentoined has denied the deal, so it's not sure if it is true!
I think we might just be surpressing this..
..this is veeery un-apple. Last time I remember something like this was Steve announcing the G5 would reach 3GHz within a year, upon which IBM said they would try to get it to 3GHz within a year.
..I'm guessing someone got fired at Apples today..
