that's excellent news, but may not be very helpful for those whose priority dates are retrogressed, whether the I-140 is approved in 1 month, or 12 months.
Premium processing (i.e. PERM) helps labor applicants more because of the difference in processing times between regular and PERM processing.
For I-140 the average processing time is about 3 months only (source: http://www..com/usa-immigration-trackers/i140-graph/), so what's the big advantage of premium processing for I-140? Are they going to approve I-140 in one day with premium processing?

HR of my Company screwed up with the content of the EB2 Ad posted in sunday newspaper. To save money they posted a partial AD with a link to the job listing on the companys website saying "Please goto this link for further information".....
Would this be ok?

Hi Gurus -
Am eFiling this my EAD renewal - and want to know what I should enter for -
1. "What is Date for Application?" - is the "Received Date" in my EAD receipt?
2. "Manner of Last Entry" : I put H1B - Speciality Occupation. Hope that is fine as I entered last year using H1B (am on H1B and there was one more H1 option there)
3. Current Immigration Status - "I put H1B - Speciality Occupation".
4. Eligibility Status - "I485 filed" - is that right? Am a July 07 filer.
Sorry if these questions have been asked before - if yes, please point me to the thread and better please try to answer these ASAP.
Thanks.

I think you are still in H1B fear. SEE A DOCTOR.
You are a free man. Do what ever you want. Need to live only 6 months per year (check exact days) to live in USA to keep your GC. No need to work, if you have money in hand.
All GC related restrictions are gone after 6 months of getting it.

What happens when old I-140 is cancelled by prior sponsor. Should the beneficiary still be eligibile to port his/her priority date based on the old approved I-140 (which is now cancelled ) ?
Still the PD is yours to keep. The only time I-140 will get invalidated even for PD porting is when USCIS found fraud in that filing.

At the time of filing my application I just used one address.
Somehow I didn't know you could use Permanent address and current address.
I'm not sure but I guess my lawyer didn't file G325 form.
Is filing G325 form something mandatory ?
I've moved recently.
I want to change the address now but want to give a new address (which is not the address I moved to .)
Should it be fine?
Thank you.

Hi, I am in 8th year of H1b with 140 approved (EB3) from company A. I would like to switch to company B and planning to start EB2 quickly to enage a new interesting project . I have following questions related to the same and early advice from you all would be highly appreciated as am running out of time in engaging the new project.
1. Can I do H1 transfer from company A to company B using A's 140 approval after my 6 years of original h1b quota. I am currently on 8th year of h1b.
2. Can I able to port the priority date from company A's EB3 filing with the new EB2 filing from company B?
3. If company A cancels the 140, still can I able to port the PD ?
thanks.
CS
If your I-140 is approved and dates not current you can get one time three years H1 extension. Otherwise one year extension is available.
Since your I-140 is approved You can port the priority dates even if Company A revokes the I-140

The American Competitiveness and Workforce Improvement Act (ACWIA), imposes annual reporting requirements on U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) concerning the countries of origin and occupations of, educational levels attained by, and compensation paid to, aliens who were issued visas or otherwise provided nonimmigrant status under H1B Visas (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) during the previous fiscal year.
Here are some highlights from the report submitted by USCIS earlier this year:
The number of H-l B petitions (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) filed decreased 15 percent from 288,764 in Fiscal Year
2008 to 246,647 in Fiscal Year 2009.
The number of H1B petitions approved decreased 22 percent from 276,252 in Fiscal
Year 2008 to 214,271 in Fiscal Year 2009.
Approximately 48 percent of all H1B petitions approved in Fiscal Year 2009 were for
workers born in India.
Two-thirds of H1B petitions approved in Fiscal Year 2009 were for workers between the
ages of25 and 34.
Forty-one percent of H1B petitions approved in Fiscal Year 2009 were for workers with
a bachelor's degree, 40 percent had a master's degree, 13 percent had a doctorate, and 6
percent were for workers with a professional degree.
About 41 percent of H1B petitions approved in Fiscal Year 2009 were for workers in
computer-related occupations.
The median salary of beneficiaries of approved petitions increased to $64,000 in Fiscal
Year 2009, $4,000 more than in Fiscal Year 2008.
Pretty interesting information, we hope that things will improve as our economy continues to recover.

What is unemployment wage report? I read that many visa seekers were asked for this.
Also, they were asked for a notarized list of all the employees with their job title, salary and immigration status. Wow now to get salary information for everyone is breach of privacy.

I changed my employer after 9 months of filing 485 using AC21 a year ago and my new employer has reduced my workdays to 3 days a week starting this month. Can I get a second job for 2 days a week with same job description and salary etc ?
The AC21 job must be same/similar along with permanent and full-time. Your labor should indicate hours/week for the job. Usually CIS considers job with > 35 hours per week as full time.
Good Luck.

It is a good idea to contact the international student office in your university. But I have seen people using up their OPT without being employed.
